OSU is scheduled to host 16 regular-season games with the addition of an exhibition game against Guelph on Oct. 4.
Head coach Steve Rohlik and his team will have a more challenging non-conference schedule than he had to face last year. Right off the bat, the Buckeyes will host a very talented Providence Friars team in the first regular season weekend Oct. 10/11. The Scarlet and Gray will then have a home-and-home series with in state rival Miami the following weekend.
Rounding out the home slate of the non-conference schedule, OSU will host Nebraska-Omaha on Nov. 7/8 and then have another home-and-home series with Bowling Green the weekend after.
The Bucks will also be traveling to Notre Dame to take part in the Shillelagh Tournament Nov. 28/29. Ohio State did not take part in a tournament last year. They participated in the Three Rivers Classic at the Consol Energy Center in 2012-2013.
OSU will be very road tested, as the trip to South Bend for the tournament will begin a span of 11 out of the next 12 games the Buckeyes will play on the road, ending Feb. 6.
The Big Ten Conference Schedule format will remain the same. The Scarlet and Gray will host each team twice in Value City Arena as well as travel to play two games a piece in each of the other teams' home barns.
The Big Ten Conference Tournament, played at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2014, will be held at Joe Louis Arena, home of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings March 19-21 in 2015.
