Nichols School, located in Buffalo, New York, has become a North American powerhouse when it comes to girls prep hockey.

The Vikings were ranked fourth in the nation for prep schools in the final MYHockey Rankings poll after finishing the 2013-14 season with an impressive 31-4-3 record. Nichols also captured the North American Prep Hockey Association and Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association titles for the third consecutive year.

Fortunately for Ohio State and Nate Handrahan, they will be on the receiving end of two of the finest players to ever be produced from the western New York gold mine.

The first of the two players that will be highlighted is Allison Gasuik.

Known for her ability to finish and her great stickhandling ability, Gasuik is considered to be in the upper echelon of girls currently playing in the Buffalo area.

Alli spent time in the prestigious USA Hockey Developmental Camp last summer in St. Cloud, MN, competing against the top rated girls from around the country for a week while developing her already remarkable skills in the process.

She also made a run in the USA Hockey National Championship tournament, reaching the quarterfinals in 2013 with the Buffalo Bisons.

Upon signing day last November, her coach at Nichols, Scott Welch, shared some words about the seven-time New York State champion. He was quoted as saying “Alli is considered a leader by her teammates and the coaching staff. She possesses incredible hands and ESPN type of moves and has put up tremendous numbers over her three years with 76 goals, 64 assists for 140 points.” (nicholsschool.org)

An impeccable amount of talent, an unquestioned drive to succeed, and yet she still has another obstacle to overcome.

Gasuik had surgery on her hip, causing her to miss a significant amount of time with Nichols and the Bisons this past season.

With the work ethic that she has displayed in order to get to this point in her career, there's no doubt she'll be ready to don the block “O” on her jersey by the time fall rolls around.

The fans on Woody Hayes drive will know soon enough that Allison Gasuik is going to become a household name.

These videos may be a few years old, but if her hands were this good then, think about what they are now......

(and who doesn't want to watch a few dangles and goals in their free time?)
